Reston Renovations Inc. is owned by Reid Davis, twenty-year resident of Reston, Virginia.  Reid attended Herndon High School and, after graduation, he worked in the restaurant management industry for several years.  Searching for more, Reid went to college.  After a few semesters at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Reid transferred to the University of Virginia and graduated with honors with majors in Environmental Science and Urban Studies and Planning.  Upon returning to Reston, Reid took up a rewarding job in the Industrial Hygiene field, learning much about controlling hazardous materials and maintaining environmentally sound and safe projects. 
 
Several years later found Reid back in school, this time studying for a master’s degree in Demography from Georgetown University.  Upon completion of the program and his Masters thesis, Reid landed a job with a prominent survey research firm as a research statistician.  Around this time, Reid and his family moved into a home that needed complete renovation, and with friends and relatives also needing renovation work, Reid soon found that his true calling lay in carpentry, woodworking and home improvement projects. While his job was intellectually rewarding, the satisfaction he got from working with his hands to produce quality kitchens, bathrooms, and beautiful living spaces soon gave rise to the creation of Reston Renovations.
